"Viola was in peril. She lost her job because of missing work when she got super sick with Covid. This change of life circumstances also forced her to move out of her 3 bedroom home and into a two bedroom apartment. Her children ages 5 and 13 both got ill and her only way of transportation broke down. The cost to fix it was going to be well over $3,000. Although Viola was at the end of her wits, she still had enough strength to ask for help. Within a few days of mentoring her, Viola received a great job opportunity. She got the courage to ask her mom to come live with her to help her with the kids. Then after all this good stuff she got even more good news that her uncle had an extra car she could have. And it was only a few years old. What a lucky break! Luck sure changed for her. When you ask Viola what made the biggest difference to her life getting better and what gave her the help she needed....she always refers to Gene and Laura. "They believed in me when others didn't. Every time I needed them, they were there for me." Now she can focus on what she is passionate about.
